Memo

A memo is writing that talks about an issue or a topic, and the aim of the memo is to bring attention to the issue and possible solution, persuading the receiver to take action. A memo is written for certain people to see. It should be brief and specific. A memo must have a heading that includes the reader’s name and title, the writer’s name and title, date, and subject (with ‘To’ and ‘From’), and a body that addresses the issue and solution. A memo ends with the writer’s contact information and should prompt the reader to take action.

We had to write a memo that address the problem in the school. Our group wrote a memo to the CCNY facilities planning director, Vatthana Mendez, about the inconvenient school signs (that tells the direction), and possible ways to improve them.
